NewsFPS, one of the UK’s largest refrigeration OEMs, two universities and a major supermarket are delivering a £1.4m project to develop and test a new thermal energy storage and load management technology that could help the supermarket de-carbonise their operations.
NewsWorking with researchers from Heriot Watt and two body builders, FPS completed a feasibility study to assess adding features to trailers to meet future logistics needs. Promising use cases in propulsion and temperature maintenance with up to 25% fuel savings were identified.
